“Plant More Mangroves, Grow More Hopes – Thai Youth in Action to Protect the Coastline”
Raising awareness about mangroves is not limited to telling our next generation about coastal resources. On 6 April 2023, a family visited the Mangrove Nature School in Bang Kaew, Samut Songkhram Province for a respite from the urban heat to plant mangroves and learn about the importance of protecting our coastal areas. The three generations of children of ages 11-4, their parents and grandparents all joined hands with village head, Phuyai Daeng, to plant mangroves. The family provided a donation to support these on-going and future efforts in mangrove and coastal area protection.
