3C and its newest partner, Stem Sprout Team, a non-profit organization based in California and run by high school students has initiated a new education-related project in Cambodia.

 

3C identified Ototeung Village located east of Angkor Wat as a village in need of educational and environmental assistance.  A family in the village has offered space in their house for the Learning Center.  A field coordinator is managing the activities.  The coordinator is responsible for setting up the Learning Center area, purchasing lights and fans, books and sports equipment for the Center, and overseeing the provision of furniture.  The Coordinator is also the teacher.

 

A small library is being established at the Learning Center with the bookshelf to be made by a villager using as many natural materials as possible.  Bamboo and discarded wood are the materials to be used.

 

The Learning Center is 3C’s newest project and is a work in progress.  3C is operating on start up funds.  The Learning Center and library is just starting and we always welcome additional support.
