On 2 November 2018, 3C participated in the “Forum on the Frontier Issues of Global Ocean Governance” organized by Grandview Institution, an independent think tank in China.  The forum provided a platform for representatives from research institutes, NGOs, think tanks, and government agencies in China and Southeast Asia to gather and discuss ways forward to improve governance and cooperation to address coastal and marine issues, particularly in the South China Sea.   3C gave a presentation on blue economy and how stronger links are required to apply technical knowledge to influence governance of resource use.  Communications continue between 3C and the forum participants that will lead to future actions for improved governance.  3C also assisted Grandview Institution in preparing the summary report of the Forum.
