3C established a library in Dei-ey Village, Mondulkiri Province, in northeast Cambodia.  Story books, flashcards, posters and learning English books were provided.  The library is situated in a building located in the village community center and serves as a local education center.  Here children learn about their Muslim heritage, and can also self-study many subjects from the books that 3C provided.

 

3C has now been able to provide bookshelves, additional books, coloring books, stationery, teacher’s desk and chair, and sports equipment for the students.

 

In addition to academic studies, students are also learning about environmental conservation.  They are starting to plant trees and flowers not only to beautify the school’s environment, but trees will prevent soil erosion of the school’s playground.

 

The school and library will need general maintenance, so while the library is now established, we always welcome additional support.
